Falling In Love...

Hello!

Here's to hoping you are enjoying the day and the summer weather. Well, it has been a busy time in my life the last few weeks getting the new studio up and running, but a welcome break happened on Sunday. I got the call at midnight from my brother that my sister-in-law had gone into labor. About 14 hours later, the cutest little bundle arrived, my new little niece, Alexia Alexander.

I have to say that right on cue, as soon as I laid my eyes on her, I was in LOVE. It is a funny phenomenon if you think about it. For the most part, it takes us months to fall in love with a significant other, but for a child, it is instantaneous. I knew immediately when I picked her up that she had stolen my heart and that I would step in front of an oncoming train if need be to protect her. An interesting phenomenon to say the least - the power of love for a child.

My hope is that each of you get to experience that love, whether it is with your own child or like me, through a niece or nephew. Alexia - you are amazing, thank you for gracing us with your presence.
